乔治城大学美中全球议题对话项目通过研究、教学以及促进中美公共部门、商界和学界领袖之间对话，探讨与和平和安全相关的议题及合作机会。
自2017年秋季以来，由乔治城美中全球议题对话执行主任Dennis Wilder教授召集举办的中美战略信任研讨会，汇聚了一批美国和中国知名学者，围绕中美在新兴国际秩序里所扮演的角色及其中关键性学术和政策议题展开对话和研究。涉及领域包括：外交、经济、贸易、文化、环境保护和使用武装力量。
研讨会旨在扩展共同关心的领域，并寻求方法将世界第一大经济体和第二大经济体之间的政治摩擦降至最低。在此基础上，由乔治城大学Evan Medeiros、 Dennis Wilder教授与北京大学王缉思教授共同牵头组织的中美战略竞争管理研究小组于2019年成立，通过对话与联合撰著的方式进一步深化政策研究。
