Michael Green is professor and chief executive officer at the United States Studies Centre of the University of Sydney. He is on leave from Georgetown University where he is Chair in Modern and Contemporary Japanese Politics and Foreign Policy at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He served on the staff of the National Security Council at the White House from 2001 through 2005.

Dr. Evan Medeiros (moderator) is the current director of Asian Studies, Penner Family Chair in Asia Studies in the School of Foreign Service, and a senior fellow with the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues at Georgetown University. He previously served for six years on the staff of the National Security Council as director for China, Taiwan and Mongolia, and then as special assistant to the president and senior director for Asia.
