The U.S.-China Research Group on Business and Trade, led by Abraham Newman (Georgetown), Henry Farrell (George Washington University) and Xue Lan (Tsinghua), convened for the second time at Tsinghua University in Beijing in December 2018. The group, comprised of twelve innovation and globalization experts from the U.S. and China, gathered to address the topic of "Politics of Innovation in an Interdependent World." Members of the research group shared the progress of their respective research and exchanged views with scholars and officials from local institutions and organizations.
