Bai Tongdong

Bai Tongdong is the Dongfang Chair Professor of Philosophy at Fudan University in China. His research interests include Chinese philosophy and political philosophy, especially the comparative and contemporary relevance of traditional Chinese political philosophy. Bai is a participant in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Research Group on Cosmopolitanism.
- Author of China: The Political Philosophy of the Middle Kingdom (2012) and Against Political Equality: The Confucian Case.
- Served as the 2016-2017 Berggruen Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University.
