Cathy Sun (’22) is a sophomore at Harvard University majoring in social studies, with a focus on global political economy and human rights. She is a 2019-2020 student fellow in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Student Fellows program.

  • Worked as a research assistant at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren.
  • Interned at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School and for Massachusetts Attorney-General Maura Healey.
  • Conducts research as a Radcliffe Research Partner, with Professor Tali Mendelberg from Princeton University, on the impact of childhood disadvantage on political voice and electoral presence.
  • Served as the Chair of the Health Policy Program at the Institute of Politics, where she led a team of student researchers to author a paper on accelerating HIV/AIDS response through mobile technology in partnership with UNAIDS.
