David Wong is the Susan Fox Beischer and George D. Beischer Professor of Philosophy at Duke University. His research interests include ethical theory, moral psychology, and comparative philosophy - primarily in early Chinese philosophy, Confucianism, and Daoism - with interests bordering on competence in some strands of Buddhism and Indian philosophy. Wong is a participant in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Research Group on Cosmopolitanism.

  • Serves as co-director with Owen Flanagan of the Center for Comparative Philosophy at Duke.
  • Serves as a member-at-large of the Board of Officers of the American Philosophical Association.
