The 2017-2018 U.S.-China Student Fellows cohort held its second meeting in Beijing. Led by the initiative’s managing director, Dennis Wilder, the fellows engaged each other in deep discussions about their values, their views on U.S.-China relations, and their thoughts regarding their own responsibilities as leaders going forward. Highlights of the trip included a reception by Ms. Fu Ying, vice minister of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, briefings with officials at the U.S. Embassy and the Embassy of Japan, and meetings with scholars and students from Tsinghua University and the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center, as well as with Georgetown alumni in Beijing, to exchange views.
