Melanie Hart

Melanie Hart is director of China policy and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. She focuses on U.S. foreign policy toward China, particularly around issues of energy, climate change, and cross-border investment. She is a participant of the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues faculty research group on climate change.
- Consulted on projects for the Aspen Institute International Digital Economy Accords project.
- Worked on Qualcomm’s China business development team, to provide technology market and regulatory analysis to guide Qualcomm operations in Greater China.
- Worked as a China advisor for the Scowcroft Group, Albright Stonebridge Group, and the University of California Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation.
