Tong Xin

Tong Xin is a professor of sociology, the deputy director of the Center for Women’s Studies, and the director of the Center for Labor Studies at Peking University. Tong’s research interests include gender and women’s studies, labor studies, and marriage and families. She is a participant in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Research Group on Women and Society.
- Served as a visiting scholar at the Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality and Justice at the University of British Columbia in Canada from 1999 to 2000.
- Participated in the World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995.
