Pang Xiaopeng

Pang Xiaopeng is a professor at the School of Agriculture and Rural Development at Renmin University of China. Her research interests include development economics, anti-poverty and rural development, gender equality and economic development, and public policy. Pang is currently a member of the 4th Council of the Chinese Women's Research Association, the International Feminist Economics Association, and the Chinese Economic Association in the United States. She is a participant in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Research Group on Women and Society.

  • Served as deputy dean of the School of Agriculture and Rural Development at Renmin University of China (2015-2019), secretary-general of the Chinese Association of Women Economists (2014-2018), and distinguished professor of Kansai Gakuin University in Japan (2007-2011).
  • Participated in the Women’s Land Rights Senior Visiting Expert Project at Landesa Rural Development Institute from September to October 2014.
